Here's another gab-fest episode of Yivvits and MrBubble! Let's get right down to business: MrBubble wonders where all the dancers have gone, Yivvits finds more road blocks to fun, players generate 3 million quests using the Chronicle Master system (4 of which were not just for grinding), and Padme spins the big General Grievous wheel. Will she win the Showcase Showdown??? |
Mon, 23 November 2009
Haven't listened to episode 120 yet? Well you better get going because here's 121! This week we welcome Padme back to the show and we have a new sponsor! We find out that MrBubble has fooled all of us and he's really a Jawa (which explains a lot), Yivvits has a new power-rant you won't want to miss, we remember an event that happened in November of 2005, the producer's letter, music and dance, Chronicles, oh my gosh so much! As for the roller grill... we aren't going to spoil that one in the show notes. You'll have to listen!

Here is the latest episode of SWGwYaMB! This one was crafted with loving care using only the softest handpicked silk, the most luxurious cashmere, and only the finest ribbons. The most important part of this week's show is the fact that our old pal Obi-Wan is back in the studio! How can you top that? We can't, but this episode also contains the following ingredients: We are sick of the no-trade game mechanic, how to become the assistant podcast librarian, we BOTH played some SWG, we listen to some voicemail messages, and we try to figure out the state of the game. |
Sun, 1 November 2009
Hello again friends! We're finally settling into our new studio and boy do we have a lot to chat about. In this episode MrBubble talks about the sorts of things he searches the Internet for when he can't sleep and this leads us to a new game, "Reptoid, Robot, or Real?" Listen to find out how we classified Smed, Draakull, and other very important people. We answer a letter from a listener on Bria and then get updates on what we've both been doing in real life and in-game. |

If you remember from our last episode we are currently in the process of moving into a new recording studio. Unfortunately, construction was delayed when the contractor uncovered a nest of lava fleas in Yivvits' house but do not fear, for here is another "From the Couch" episode! Listen as we discuss topics such as: what we've been up to, does SWG have enough developers, and potted plants! [Thank you to our podcast librarian "RedHeadedTim" for reviewing (proofing) this week's show! This episode was recorded prior to the release of game update 13.] |

Hello again everybody! We're currently in the process of moving our studio to a new location but that doesn't stop us from gabbing about Star Wars Galaxies! We broke out the mobile recording rig and whipped up this little beauty for ya. We discuss the recently announced server closures (which opens up a few old wounds), the upcoming Chronicles update, and MrBubble's favorite reality TV series. Studio or no studio, you can't keep Yivvits and MrBubble down! |
Tue, 25 August 2009
Hey looky here, a new episode of SWGwYaMB! In this episode we read a couple of letters from listeners and one includes a nice little gift. This, of course, made us very happy. The happiness continued with some great voice mail messages, updates on what we've both been doing the past few weeks, and some Update 12 discussion. Unfortunately, the happy streak ends when MrBubble finds out that Yivvits "forgot" to edit out some bits from the last episode. In an attempt to help MrBubble, Yivvits asks an old friend to stop by and share some of his sage advice. Download and listen now! We'll be back in September with even more Yivvits and MrBubble tomfoolery! (Also, this episode was recorded before Update 12 went live. Anything we discussed may have changed when the update was pushed to live.) |

Here it is, our gargantuan two hour long Fan Faire 2009 Memories episode! You've probably listened to the SWG panels we recorded, but this is the episode where we pull it all together and tell you about our Fan Faire experiences. In fact, there's so much SWGwYaMB goodness in this one that we had to resort to using bullet points for the show notes! Here are just a few of the things in this episode:
Also, this one marks the 4th anniversary of our podcast! Not many shows make it past a year, let alone four, and we're now one of the longest running MMORPG podcasts out there. We can't thank you enough for your continued interest in our show! Thanks for listening everybody, and enjoy! |

This is part two of the two hour long "Galactic Gathering" panel. In this panel the developers explained what the rest of this year holds for SWG and answered a ton of questions from the audience. Also, Dotanuki spent some time explaining Death Troopers in greater detail. If you're still not exactly sure what Death Troopers will mean for SWG then listening to this panel is a must. The gathering also included some trivia, 'Happy 6th Birthday SWG!' cake, and a Wookiee roar contest. |

This was the podcasting discussion panel which MrBubble and I participated in. The audience was mostly made up of EQ/EQ2 players as there happened to be a SWG TCG panel at the same time. I think Brenlo "I'm Alan" Crosby scheduled it that way as payback for all the sound clips of him we've played on our show. Ah, of course I'm only kidding! I'm Alan! /grin. Special thanks to SOE for letting us participate in the panel again this year. It is always a really fun discussion! Also, thanks to Eldarwen and DrQuest for asking us some great questions. (Please note that the panel discussion was rather candid and contains a few... tasteless jokes.) |

What an exciting week! Fan Faire 2009, Empire Day in SWG, another TCG expansion with even more "exciting" loot, and now this - a new episode of SWGwYaMB! In this episode we talk about our Fan Faire plans, hash out a couple of ideas for SWG, and once again remind everybody why we feel the way in which the free character transfers were done actually hurt rather than helped the community. We also have some more voice mail from listeners weighting in on our continuing debate: Hide or display your toys when dating? We finish up the show by opening up a gift one of our listeners sent us. |

It's the eve before recording Episode 114, and MrBubble can't sleep! If Larry can't sleep, no one can sleep! MrBubble calls Yivvits and they talk about the feedback for Episode 113 and what Episode 114 may contain. MrBubble also tries to have another conversation with Lola, but yet again blows it.

We have so many exciting things to discuss in this episode! In fact, we got so excited that we read the wrong date during the intro. Thankfully, we were able to hire an affordable voice over actor to fix the problem. I think he's a pretty close match for MrBubble so you won't even notice it! We start out this episode with some discussion about SOE's most recent release, Free Realms. Like we always do, we work Star Wars into even this topic. Incredible! We also discuss the recently announce shutdown of The Matrix Online and Yivvits has an idea for keeping even "closed" MMO's alive (in a sort of blue glowy sense). MrBubble talks about his most recent business venture on the outskirts of Mos Eisley and some plans he has for Fan Faire. |

Hungry for a little something before Episode 113? MrBubble sets up his old podcasting gear and surprises Yivvits by calling him EXACTLY when Yivvits is editing our next episode! It's wacky! |
Thu, 28 May 2009
Hello friends! This week's episode is a "Dantastic" mix of topics! Some listener voice mail messages prompt us to revisit a bunch of discussions from previous episodes including the most recent debate, "should you hide your geek toys before a date visits?" Also, we give some advice to a couple of aspiring podcasters, give a shout-out to one of our loyal podcast fans, and comment on the new housing choices introduced in SWG game update 9. Oh! We also announce that we'll be at Fan Faire 2009 in Las Vegas and once again participating in the podcast discussion panel! |

You're probably wondering, "Hey! Where's episode 110?" Well, one of our guests in 110 (the "missing" 2008 YaMB Holiday Extravaganza) has yet to return his release papers. Until we get them, we can't put the show out. I won't say who it is... but his name rhymes with Pando Ralcissian. So, while you wait please enjoy episode 111! First, Yivvits and MrBubble both put down their bets on when Game Update 9 would go live. Since the update went live last week you'll find out if our guesses were even close! Next, MrBubble tells us about his trip to visit our podcast librarian, Red Headed Tim, we debate whether or not it is best for geeks to hide their toys when asking a date over, and we bring up a couple ideas for SWG. Finally, MrBubble rates which SWG species are the most drama prone. |

Here's a little something to get you in the mood for a very special upcoming episode of SWGwYaMB!

Mon, 20 April 2009
Welcome to another installment of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble! First up, MrBubble finally explains why he doesn't like worms. Yes, ever since the show started in 2005 we know you've all been waiting to find out why that is. Your wait is over! Thankfully, later in the episode Yivvits ties this story back into the Star Wars universe - amazing! Next, we bring you up to speed on what we've been doing in SWG (and other games), followed by some great voice mail messages from our listeners. We finish off the show with a quick run-down of what's coming in game update 9 and MrBubble reveals which clothing item he most wants added to the game. |
Wed, 25 March 2009
Welcome to another fine episode of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble! Recently while shopping for some MSE droids, Yivvits picked up a new studio helper droid, Roger. We think you'll like him just as much as we do. Next, we catch up on voice mails and letters from you, our fantastic listeners! Then, a very special treat - the reading of a letter MrBubble wrote all the way back in 1990. What was it about? You'll have to listen to find out! Finally, we round out the show with our honest feelings about where TCG loot is taking the game. |

Two new episodes in three days? Either you're really lucky or "we've got a lot to talk about!" Yes, episode 107 is a Bothan sized slice of SWGwYaMB pie. MrBubble give us a rundown of his latest in-game endeavors, we have some thank you messages, and even an apology. We also talk about the housing pack-up event and some additional Update 8 tidbits. |
Sun, 1 March 2009
In addition to the bubbling fountains of chocolate, classy tuxedo wearing protocol droids, and those juicy camby berries, Chief Chripa brought something else for you - a brand new episode of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble! In this episode we read a letter from one of our listeners, discuss the Ewok Festival of Love, Lando finds out just how good Nutty Bars are, and we come to the conclusion that micro-transactions are already part of Star Wars Galaxies. Enjoy! |
Sun, 15 February 2009
After a short mid-winter break we're back in the groove and have SO much to talk about! Since our last episode we've officially made the move to our new home galaxy, Shadowfire, and to our amazement we didn't end up getting transferred to The Matrix Online or Minesweeper. Also this week: the Ewok Festival of Love, wandering slice hounds, a hard core PvP/instance runner finds his true calling, and MrBubble explains how we could get gardening using already in-game stuff. So, won't you join us for a little refreshment? |
Wed, 4 February 2009
Well hello there friends! We thought it was time for a little YaMB update so here it is. While we'll never forget that SOE/LA did not give players a real choice in the matter of transferring, there's not much else to say or do about it. To that end, we've both completed our transfers to the Shadowfire galaxy and have started to rebuild the city of Yamborra - this time on... Dantooine. We're on Dantooine! So far we've been enjoying our new home and we hope to see all of our friends there! Thank you for all the great times Valcyn, and thank you Shadowfire for giving us such a warm welcome. We STILL have a really great holiday show in the works although we'll probably put a little different spin on it seeing as it's been a month since the holiday season. Not to worry though, we're still here and even more important... in the words of our pal Cliegg Lars, we have a LOT to talk about! So stay tuned! Keep following our twitter, podcast feed, and our forums for breaking news about the podcast and podcast parties! Your pals, (You can find Yamborra on Dantooine at 5564 -4420, on the Shadowfire galaxy.) Category:Announcements

Busy times! With Life Day ending, thoughts of the upcoming Free Character Transfers looming in our heads, and Sean Trenwell's loss in the recent Bestine election, we thought you'd all enjoy a little comic relief in the form of a new installment of SWGwYaMB! This is really good stuff - seriously! We discuss this year's Life Day festivities, ponder what sort of problems the FCT might cause, and listen to some more of your voice mails. Oh! We also reveal our new official home server. Yes, it's unscripted, 100% seat-of-the-pants action! Coming soon: Our 3rd annual Holiday Extravaganza show! |
